NARRATIVE FORM MINIATURES
Further details to come soon -- in the meantime:
Mixed media experiments in narrative miniature, exploring a metaphorical collision of certain occult themes with the print detritus of mid-20th centure American culture.
Layered densely with prismacolor pencils -- so thick it becomes like wax -- along with gouache, inks and other mark-making nibs, the series playfully celebrates a variety of source material: discarded comic books, early readers, elementary school text-books, government manuals, popular magazines and other cultural ephemera.
